Yuchen Zheng is a professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the School of Information Science and Technology, Shihezi University. His office is Room 305B, Lvyuan Building No. 2.

Research Interests

Pattern recognition and machine learning; document recognition and analysis; handwritten signature verification; medical image processing; data mining and bioinformatics; remote-sensing image interpretation; multilingual speech recognition and machine translation; federated learning and adversarial robustness.

Teaching

Undergraduate courses include Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Compiler Principles, and Introduction to Computer Science and Technology. Graduate courses include Machine Learning and Academic Writing. The doctoral course is Data Mining Technology.

Academic Service and Student Supervision

Session Co-Chair of ACAIT 2023; program committee member for ICDAR, ICANN and ISPR; senior member of the China Computer Federation; reviewer for major journals and conferences in pattern recognition, machine learning, remote sensing and document analysis. He also serves on the college Degree Evaluation Subcommittee and Graduate Teaching Steering Committee. Publicly listed student projects span signature verification, federated learning, remote-sensing change detection, bioinformatics, multilingual speech recognition and knowledge mining.
